Ben Kuyoh, the Chief Digital & Marketing Officer for East Africa, L’Oréal, has been recognized as MarketingWorld Magazine’s CMO of the Week—a prestigious accolade celebrating outstanding marketing leadership and transformative impact in the industry.

With a career stretching over 15 years, Kuyoh has driven innovative marketing and digital strategies across diverse industries, cementing his reputation as a visionary in brand development and e-commerce.


At L’Oréal, Kuyoh spearheads online and offline marketing, digital, and e-commerce initiatives for iconic brands such as L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Maybelline, CeraVe, and LaRoche Posay.


His leadership has optimized marketing mix modeling, media planning, and profit & loss management, ensuring sustainable growth in a competitive market. His focus on diversity and digital transformation has elevated L’Oréal’s brand presence in East Africa.

Previously, as Chief Marketing Officer at Jumia Group in Uganda, Kuyoh orchestrated growth strategies that generated over $30 million in annual revenue. He led the Jumia Food Mart project across three countries, achieving top performance in revenue and traffic. His strategic paid marketing campaigns reduced costs per order by 30%, showcasing his analytical prowess.

As Group Chief Creative Director at Blu Flamingo Digital Africa, Kuyoh directed creative teams across five markets, achieving a 140% surge in production revenue. He established cost-efficient video and audio production units in Rwanda and Uganda, enhancing operational efficiency.
