Meet Bodam Taiwo:New Customer Marketing Director, Diageo West & Central Africa

Diageo West & Central Africa has announced the appointment of Bodam Taiwo as its new Customer Marketing Director. This move will strengthen its regional leadership and enhance consumer engagement across the West and Central African markets.

With over 20 years of experience in market perception, brand evolution, and consumer engagement, Taiwo brings a wealth of expertise to the role. Her appointment signals a strategic shift as Diageo aims to deepen consumer connections and drive regional market growth.

Before her current role at Diageo, Bodam served as the Head of Portfolio, Bond & Connect at Pernod Ricard Nigeria, where she led the strategic direction and market penetration for the brand portfolio. Her expertise in premium spirits marketing was further honed during her tenure as Premium Spirits Trade Marketing Manager (Brown-Forman Portfolio) at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company.

Bodam’s career trajectory includes a significant period at Guinness Nigeria, where she held multiple leadership positions over four years and five months. She served as the National Channel Manager for Modern Trade, overseeing key account strategies and driving growth in the retail sector.

Before this, she was the Divisional Operations and Performance Manager and Customer Marketing Manager, where she developed and executed innovative marketing campaigns. She also took on the role of Acting Brand & PR Manager, managing public relations and brand communications in Lagos, Nigeria.

Her diverse career began in the technology and entertainment sectors. At Fun Mobile Limited, Bodam held dual roles as Business Development Manager for Music and Business Development – Client Relations, where she managed client portfolios and led strategic partnerships. She previously worked as a Client Executive at Verity Nigeria and as an Assistant Commercial Engineer at Huawei Technologies Company (Nigeria) Limited, gaining cross-industry exposure and operational expertise.

Welcoming Taiwo to the team, Diageo West & Central Africa expressed confidence in her ability to drive growth and innovation.
