Serengeti Breweries hires Juanita Mramba as Corporate Relations Director

Juanita Mramba has been appointed Corporate Relations Director at Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL), bringing her extensive expertise in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability to one of East Africa’s leading beverage companies.

From Finance to Strategic Leadership
Her career began with a strong foundation in finance, earning a BSc in International Business Administration (Finance) from United States International University-Africa. She progressed into key roles in financial services, including an extended tenure as Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand, and Marketing at Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania Limited, where she drove financial inclusion initiatives, employee volunteering programs, and earned recognition as one of the IFC’s 22 Leading Tanzanian Women in Financial Services.

Pivotal Roles in Communications and Sustainability
Following a brief stint as Communications Officer at Daimler AG in Germany, Juanita served as an independent Corporate Relations and Communication Specialist consultant in Tanzania. She then joined Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) as Head of Sustainability, leading the “Spirit of Progress” ESG agenda across East African markets. In this capacity, she integrated sustainability into core business operations, oversaw social license initiatives, produced high-impact reports, and championed inclusion, diversity, and environmental stewardship.
