Nigeria: Abiodun Obisesan Joins Nigerian Economic Summit Group as Strategy & Communication Associate

A renowned media and marketing communications professional, Abiodun Obisesan has joined a non-profit and non-partisan private sector organisation, Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) as Strategy and Communications Associate in Policy and Innovation Center.

Obisesan is imbued with a discerning mind for deciphering trends within the ever-expanding public relations, media, and marketing communication firmament. He is also adept at providing cost-effective PR solutions with painstaking and ground-breaking content development perspectives.

Announcing the new move on his linkedIn page, he said “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as a Strategy and Communication associate at Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG)”

Until his appointment, Obisesan was the media manager at Chenist Consulting Ltd where he was responsible for providing a robust media solution to clients and prospects in Nigeria and globally.

He started his career at AIICO Insurance Plc as a Marketer where he was responsible for updating information of clients and servicing their insurance needs. He then moved to TaijoWonkabe Limited as a Media Executive Trainee.

Obisesan also served at Synthesis Communication as the Media Relations where he attended to content development needs such as press releases, testimonials, Feature write-ups, human angle stories, media tracking, etc

Other places he has worked include Media Craft Associates Limited as the Manager Media and Sesema Public Relations as the Account Manager.

His rich media marketing communication stint covers such areas as brand communication, celebrity branding, crisis management, copywriting, Script writing, environmental scanning, creative writing, and media strategy is noteworthy.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Ibadan as well as a Diploma in Art, Entertainment, and Media Management from the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations.

Abiodun Obisesan is also an award-winning journalist at the Advertiser’s Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) Awards 2014 edition (Brand Journalist Category).
