MarketingWorld’s CMO of the Week: Sheila Aboth of C-Care Uganda

In Uganda’s ever-evolving healthcare sector, Sheila Aboth stands at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and service. As the Group Head of Brand, Marketing, and Communications at C-Care Uganda, Aboth has spent the last decade turning complex ideas into compelling brand experiences, reshaping how healthcare is communicated, delivered, and experienced by thousands nationwide.

Aboth began her career in the fast-paced sales world at Crown Beverages, where she first learned the art of connecting with consumers. She then transitioned into the energy sector at Mogas International, taking on a pivotal role in LPG marketing. But it was in the healthcare industry that Sheila found her purpose. Joining International Medical Group (IMG) as Sales and Marketing Manager, she discovered the power of branding in building trust and transforming patient engagement.

Currently at C-Care Uganda, Aboth leads a diverse portfolio of brand, marketing, and communication initiatives. Her influence stretches from corporate strategy to frontline patient experiences. Whether orchestrating large-scale rebranding campaigns or shaping patient touchpoints at site clinics, her work is guided by a deep understanding of the client journey—its expectations, challenges, and aspirations.

One of her most notable achievements is the successful rebranding of IMG to C-Care Uganda—a transformation that not only gave the organization a new identity but also helped drive a 30% surge in new client visits within two years. Alongside this, she pioneered the C-Care Health Card, a health savings platform designed to enhance financial access to care.

Aboth’s leadership extends to operational management as well. She oversees C-Care’s site clinics—custom healthcare centers located within factories and schools—ensuring care delivery is not only personalized but also aligned with the practical needs of various communities.

Beyond her corporate role, Sheila is also a mentor and motivational force. Through her platform, A Moment of Growth with Sheila, she shares stories of resilience, leadership, and self-development. Her voice resonates with many seeking to navigate professional challenges or unlock their potential.

MarketingWorld Magazine’s CMO of the Week is a global recognition celebrating top-performing Chief Marketing Officers who demonstrate exceptional leadership, drive brand transformation, spearhead disruptive innovation, and contribute meaningfully to market growth and customer engagement.
