CMO of the week: Emily Kinuthia of CFAO Mobility Kenya

With over 18 years of experience in marketing, brand building, and communication, Emily Kinuthia, Group Marketing Manager of CFAO Mobility Kenya has led growth-led marketing strategy development and execution, with a focus on data driven and insight through innovative customer engagements.

Kinuthia has also worked with leading organizations in the advertising, financial, and technology sectors, managing multinational brands and creating meaningful consumer engagements.

Her professional advancement

Her career began at Diamond Trust Bank Kenya Ltd as the Head of marketing where she was responsible for the promotion and marketing of all the bank’s products and services, overseeing marketing and communication requirements for regional offices, Uganda, Tanzania and Burundi.

And also overall coordination of the relationship between the bank and the Advertising, PR and Digital agencies

She continued her career path as the Business Head at Scanad where she led the Safaricom business and managed all marketing communication requirements for different products thereby building strong brands that have a positive impact in the marketing world.

Emily Kinuthia also served as the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Internet Solutions Kenya where she showed excellent interpersonal skills and an inspirational team leader, a skill that allowed her make strong professional relationships.

Emily served also as the general manager- marketing, communication & citizenship at NIC Bank Limited and also at NCBA Group overseeing marketing strategy development and implementation across East Africa.

With an ambition to deliver positive brand equity and drive a seamless brand experience across all the bank’s products, channels and services.

She also served as Chief Marketing Officer at Xetova where she gave adequate consumer insights mapping and application, customer obsessed value based marketing with various strategy and business collaboration.

She is now currently the Marketing Manager at CFAO Mobility Kenya where she is leading the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns for the mobility division, overseeing a portfolio of 11 brands.
Leveraging MBA in Leadership and Entrepreneurship, her BA in Communication and Business Administration, as well as her extensive knowledge of brand building across the African market, to deliver impactful and innovative solutions that drive growth, customer satisfaction, and brand loyalty.

Kinuthia is building a digital first mobility solutions brand, that will generate share- holder value and transform the automotive industry on the continent.
