Dennis Mambure Emerges as MarketingWorld’s CMO of the Week

Absa Bank Botswana’s Head (Director) of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Dennis Mambure, a versatile marketing expert has been crowned as one of MarketingWorld’s top three CMOs of the week.

Dennis has over 23 years of professional experience and is currently the Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, having joined the Bank in May 2022.

Dennis previously held senior roles in Barclays Bank of Zimbabwe and FMB Capital Holdings plc. His vast experience spans marketing, corporate relations, sales and product management within the banking, telecommunications, agriculture and manufacturing sectors.

Dennis is a Council member of the Women’s University in Africa and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).

He holds an MSc in Marketing, a Master of Public Policy and Governance (Africa University) as well as a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours in Marketing, the National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe.

Tracy Eagles Emerge as MarketingWorld’s CMO of the Week

FirstRand Namibia’s Chief Marketing Officer, Tracy Eagles, a dynamic and visionary leader has been crowned as one of MarketingWorld’s top three CMOs of the week.

Appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer for FirstRand Namibia in the year January 2016, Tracy has been at the forefront of the marketing activities of the bank, responsible for strategic marketing and communications across all group franchises. Positioning herself as a strategic management executive with a diverse background, she has launched enthusiastically off an undergrad psychology and education degree; and then merrily tripped through the hotbeds of advertising, marketing and general management for the next 26 years.

Before her current appointment, she was the Chief Marketing Officer for First National Bank Namibia, Marketing Executive, Customer & Transformation for Old Mutual Namibia from February 2011 – December 2015, Strategic Thinking Consultant for Eagles & Associates from August 2010 – February 2011, Group Head: Corporate Communications for Pupkewitz Group Holdings from January 2010 – August 2010, Chief Operating Officer for LtdViglietti Motors (Pty) Ltd from 2008 – 2009, SAP Change Management Team Lead for Southern Sun Hotels from 2007 – 2008.

Tracy has worked in, owned and managed one of the internationally acclaimed TBWA/ad agencies, contracted regionally in Southern Africa for Southern Sun Hotels and Ferrari/Maserati, and have workshopped, mentored and coached senior executives on her interest areas of executive leadership practice, marketing, change management, and systems thinking.

In terms of her educational background, she holds an MBA from UCT, RSA.

Adebola Williams Emerges as MarketingWorld’s CMO of the Week

Promasidor’s Marketing Director, Adebola Williams, an innovative marketing professional has been crowned as one of MarketingWorld’s top three CMOs of the week.

Adebola Williams, currently the Marketing Director at Promasidor, has built a distinguished career spanning various sectors, from FMCG to corporate communications. With a background rooted in law, having earned an LLB from Lagos State University and a BL from the Nigerian Law School, she transitioned into marketing, blending strategic insight with sharp business acumen.

Her leadership journey began at Leo Burnett ROSABEL as a Brand Manager, and she quickly moved up the ranks to become Brand Director at DDB Lagos. In subsequent roles at Mondelēz International and Pernod Ricard, she honed her skills in brand management, product development, and market activation, always with a focus on innovation and profitability.

At UAC Foods Limited, Adebola spearheaded marketing and corporate communications, driving cross-functional alignment and brand growth across the company’s portfolio. Her tenure as the Category Lead for Gum & Candy at Mondelēz International saw her successfully execute category marketing plans, leading to notable improvements in market share and brand equity.

Since January 2023, Adebola has been leading Promasidor’s marketing strategies, leveraging her wealth of experience to push boundaries in consumer engagement and brand positioning. Her educational pursuits, including a Senior Management Programme from Lagos Business School, underscore her commitment to continuous learning and leadership excellence.

Adebola Williams exemplifies strategic leadership, innovation, and a passion for building enduring brands, making her a formidable force in the marketing landscape.
