
DPAN expands annual production to 44,000 vehicles
Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (DPAN) has significantly increased its production capacity to 44,000 vehicles annually, following the integration of advanced technology in its assembly processes
With cutting-edge systems in place, the plant now rolls out up to 120 vehicles daily, strengthening local manufacturing and reducing Nigeria’s dependence on imported cars.
Popular Peugeot models, including the Landtrek pickup, 3008, 5008, and 508 GT, are now being assembled locally, offering high-quality, competitively priced alternatives to imported vehicles.
Dangote Group Showcases Innovation at Kaduna Trade Fair
Speaking at the 46th Kaduna International Trade Fair, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, Senior Advisor to the President of Dangote Group, highlighted how digitization has revolutionized operations across the conglomerate’s industries, particularly in cement manufacturing.
“By assembling globally renowned Peugeot models, DPAN is fostering trade, promoting local manufacturing, and driving Nigeria’s journey toward industrial self-sufficiency,” Abdurrahman stated.
Themed “Promoting Efficiency in Manufacturing, Trade, and Agriculture through Digital Transformation”, this year’s trade fair served as a platform for Dangote Group to showcase its adoption of innovative technologies across its various sectors.
Abdurrahman noted that Dangote’s sustained investment in smart and automated systems has transformed operations in cement, sugar, salt, fertilizer, petrochemicals, agriculture, and now automobiles.
“We have digitized our manufacturing and sales processes, particularly in our cement plants, where tasks that once took days now take minutes,” she said.

Dangote’s Digital Transformation Enhances Customer Experience
The company’s customer-centric approach was also highlighted, with Abdurrahman introducing the Dangote Management System (DMS) App, a digital ordering platform available on Android and iOS.
“The DMS App allows our registered customers in the cement, sugar, and salt sectors to access our products anytime, anywhere,” she explained.
Government and Industry Leaders Applaud Dangote’s Impact
The Dangote Group’s influence on Nigeria’s economy was widely recognized at the event.
Ishaya Idi, President of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), commended Dangote’s contributions to job creation and economic growth.
“The 46th Kaduna Trade Fair has strengthened the partnership between KADCCIMA and Dangote Group, a company that continues to be a driving force in Nigeria’s industrial landscape,” Idi noted.
The Federal Government also lauded Dangote’s role in national development. Representing President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, Acting Permanent Secretary Dr. Dafang Sale praised the company’s investments.
“Dangote Group’s commitment to innovation and industrialization is critical to Nigeria’s economic growth. We appreciate the remarkable work they are doing,” Sale said.
Usman Saulawa, Director General of KADCCIMA, further emphasized the company’s impact on both local and global economies.
“The Dangote Group has made a significant contribution to Kaduna State’s business community and continues to play a vital role in Nigeria’s broader economic development,” Saulawa stated, highlighting the collaboration between the Kaduna State Government, Dangote Group, and other stakeholders as a key highlight of the fair.
