Cecilia Atterwall, Ericsson’s Vice President and Head of Marketing, underscored the potential of autonomous networks powered by AI to drive business and service agility.
Atterwall shared on LinkedIn her participation at the Ericsson OSS/BSS Summit 2025, where she engaged industry leaders and peers to drive telecom transformation.
“Differentiated connectivity services can transform user experiences and our industry, but only if we industrialize and scale autonomous networks,” she stated, inviting dialogue on this vision
With over half her career dedicated to telecom, Atterwall has witnessed its evolution from 2G to 5G, the rise of the app economy, and the success of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA). Now, she sees 5G Advanced and Standalone (SA) networks unlocking new, differentiated connectivity services.
The Summit buzzed with keynote presentations from industry innovators, interactive panels, and live demonstrations highlighting rapid advancements in telecom. Atterwall emphasized the unique energy of in-person collaboration, noting the industry’s shared vision of technological progress. “We’re marking significant milestones as change accelerates in how we sell, deliver, and get paid for the value networks bring to people’s lives,” she said.
