Custodian Investment hiresToluwalase Bakare new Head, Corporate Comm.

Toluwalase Bakare, a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in brand strategy, public relations, and digital marketing, has joined Custodian Investment Plc as Head of Corporate Communications.

In his new role, Bakare will lead the development and execution of integrated brand and corporate communications strategies for the company, which has established itself as one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous financial services groups. Custodian Investment operates across key sectors including insurance, pensions, real estate, asset management, and trusteeship.

Bakare expressed enthusiasm about her appointment, stating:

He brings a wealth of expertise to Custodian Investment, having previously served as Communications Manager at CHI Limited (Chivita | Hollandia), where he managed internal and external communications, stakeholder engagement, crisis management, and corporate storytelling. Prior to that, he was Communications Manager at Tranter IT, leading brand and marketing efforts across its technology subsidiaries.

His earlier experience includes roles as Senior Public Relations Manager at Stephanie John & Associates, where she handled high-profile clients such as Access Bank, Premium Trust Bank, and several beverage brands; Head of Corporate Communications & Digital Marketing at J3 Holdings; and Senior Account Executive at R&B Public Relations, managing major FMCG brands including Orijin, Smirnoff, and Coca-Cola.
