Standard Bank Namibia names Elzita Beukes new Executive,Marketing & Branding

Standard Bank Namibia has announced the appointment of Elzita Beukes as Executive: Marketing and Branding, effective 1 July 2026.

The move underscores the bank’s commitment to strengthening its brand presence, deepening customer engagement, and enhancing its overall market position in Namibia’s competitive banking sector.

Beukes brings over 15 years of extensive experience in marketing, communications, and reputation management across banking, corporate, and development sectors. She is a seasoned professional known for crafting integrated marketing and communication strategies, supporting executive positioning, and building long-term stakeholder trust.

She holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and Innovation from the London School of Marketing, a Bachelor of Journalism from Rhodes University in South Africa, and a postgraduate qualification in International Cooperation from the United Nations University in Tokyo.

Prior to her promotion, Beukes served as Senior Manager: Public Relations and Communication at Standard Bank Namibia, where she played a key role in elevating the bank’s communications and brand visibility. In her new executive capacity, she will join the bank’s Executive Committee and lead the development and execution of its overarching marketing and branding strategy.

Commenting on her appointment, Beukes said:
“I am honoured to take on this role at a time when the banking sector is evolving rapidly. I look forward to working with the team to strengthen how we connect with our clients and to support the bank’s growth priorities.”

Her career spans notable leadership positions, including Head of Corporate Affairs at MultiChoice Namibia, Group Communications Manager at FirstRand Namibia, and earlier roles at Bank Windhoek, the National Commission on Research, Science and Technology (NCRST), UNDP, and UNESCO, where she handled stakeholder engagement, brand marketing, and strategic communications.
