GBFoods appoints Adedunmola Ezichi as Category Manager

GBFoods has strengthened its growth and innovation agenda with the appointment of Adedunmola Ezichi as Category Manager, reinforcing the company’s commitment to consumer-led innovation, portfolio expansion, and category leadership in Nigeria’s fast-evolving consumer goods market.

Effective June 1, 2026, Ezichi joins GBFoods with responsibility for driving growth across key product categories, enhancing brand competitiveness, and deepening consumer engagement through insight-driven marketing strategies. Her appointment reflects the company’s ambition to unlock new opportunities, strengthen market presence, and deliver greater value to consumers.

Ezichi brings extensive experience spanning Nigeria’s consumer goods, retail, beauty, fashion, and financial services sectors. Throughout her career, she has built a strong reputation for transforming consumer insights into commercial success, executing impactful marketing campaigns, and identifying growth opportunities in highly competitive markets.

Prior to joining GBFoods, she played a pivotal role at PZ Cussons Nigeria, where she managed the company’s personal hygiene portfolio and led strategic initiatives that increased brand visibility, expanded market penetration, and delivered measurable business results. During her tenure, she successfully implemented growth-focused programmes that enhanced category performance while strengthening consumer loyalty.

Her approach combines market intelligence, innovation, and technology-driven marketing solutions to create campaigns that resonate with evolving consumer needs and expectations.

Earlier in her career, Ezichi developed deep expertise in digital marketing and brand communications at Seven Up Bottling Company, where she led digital initiatives for major beverage brands, helping to increase audience engagement, strengthen online presence, and drive consumer interaction across digital channels.

Beyond the corporate world, Ezichi has also demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of StyleMeAfrica Online Co. Through the venture, she gained valuable experience in business development, partnership management, brand building, and commercial strategy, broadening her understanding of consumer behaviour and business growth.

Her professional journey also includes leadership and management roles at Beauty Hut Africa, First Bank, ALARA Lagos, Maju Fashion, and Western Lotto, giving her cross-industry expertise in marketing strategy, portfolio management, operations, and customer engagement.

Recognised for her strategic thinking and commercial discipline, Ezichi has consistently demonstrated the ability to identify emerging opportunities, optimise brand performance, manage complex portfolios, and translate consumer insights into sustainable growth.

Academically, she holds a Foundation Degree in Business from Columbia International College, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Essex, and a Master’s degree in International Business from Coventry University.

Industry observers believe her blend of brand-building expertise, digital marketing capabilities, and business leadership experience positions her to play a key role in advancing GBFoods’ innovation agenda, strengthening category leadership, and accelerating growth across its portfolio.
