This innovative product, available through the Allawee app and supported by Providus Bank, Remita, and Credicorp, provides over 720,000 federal public servants and NYSC members with immediate access to credit and enhanced financial flexibility.
The new program integrates user-friendly features, responsible credit management tools, and a seamless digital onboarding process to promote responsible credit usage in a market traditionally dominated by debit and prepaid cards.

Launched at a pivotal time when economic growth hinges on credit availability, the Allawee Credit Card supports the Nigerian government’s goal of providing credit to 50% of working Nigerians by 2030. In line with Mastercard’s mission to promote financial inclusion, the card offers a safe and convenient means for customers to access credit and build a solid credit profile.
With this partnership, users can download the Allawee Credit Card app, apply for a loan, get approved, and start making purchases immediately. The credit is instantly transferred to a co-branded card, granting users full control over their finances. The card can be used flexibly at POS terminals, ATMs, and for online transactions, providing greater financial independence.

The Allawee credit card, widely accepted at Mastercard’s online and physical retail locations globally, offers immediate credit access through a fast, secure, and entirely digital application process. Customers can select their credit limits (up to ₦1,000,000) and repay in installments over four months, providing flexible repayment options. This initiative reinforces Mastercard’s dedication to promoting financial inclusion in Nigeria and empowering underserved communities to engage fully in the digital economy.
