Snickers Launches Humorous Campaign Dubbed “Noobie Mistakes” for Cricket Season

A popular chocolate brand, Snickers has unveiled a new humorous campaign to coincide with the upcoming cricket season.

The campaign, titled “Noobie Mistakes,” builds on Snickers’ well-known brand proposition of “You’re not you when you’re hungry” and captures funny moments of fans making mistakes while watching cricket matches.

The campaign, developed by advertising agency DDB Tribal, will be rolled out in two phases. The first phase includes a quirky TV commercial that showcases the concept of making noobie mistakes as a cricket fan. The second phase will feature two new 10-second digital films that provide more instances of out-of-sorts moments with Snickers.

Varun Kandhari, the director of marketing and customer marketing at Mars Wrigley India, expressed his excitement about the campaign, stating that Snickers’ fun brand proposition has been loved by consumers globally. He added that the campaign aims to combine the thrill of cricket fandom with unexpected comedy.

Iraj Fraz, the creative head at DDB Tribal, explained that the campaign highlights the noobie mistakes fans make while trying to support their favorite cricket team. He humorously mentioned situations like calling in sick to work and then posting pictures of oneself watching a match on Instagram.

The films will be available in nine languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, and Telugu. They will be shown on both television and digital platforms.

Snickers’ new campaign aims to entertain cricket fans by showcasing their funny mistakes while watching matches. With its humorous approach and long-standing association with cricket, Snickers hopes to engage consumers during the cricket season.
