Tanzania: Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) appoints its first female Managing Director

One of the oldest and largest brewing company in Tanzania, Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) has appointed its first female Managing Director in the company’s 90-year existence.

In a statement to partners and stakeholders, Tanzania Breweries Limited announced the appointment of Ms. Michelle Kilpin as the new Managing Director, marking a significant milestone in the company’s leadership trajectory.

“We are pleased to announce a pivotal movement in the leadership trajectory of Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) as we proudly introduce Ms Michelle Kilpin as our newly appointed managing director” it said.

Ms. Kilpin assumes the role of Managing Director at TBL, succeeding Jose Moran, who led the company for the past two years. Moran is set to transition to a regional portfolio within the continent.

Ms. Kilpin comes with a wealth of experience, boasting a career spanning over 19 years with TBL’s parent company, ABInBEV. Throughout her tenure, she has showcased her expertise and achieved significant milestones across the African continent.
