PalmPay and Jumia Launch Festive Campaign with Rewards and Convenience

This holiday season, PalmPay, Africa’s leading fintech platform, has teamed up with Jumia, the continent’s e-commerce giant, to launch an exciting festive campaign focused on convenience and rewards.

From December 11th to 28th, 2024, shoppers who use the “Pay with PalmPay” feature on Jumia will be automatically entered into a draw to win cash prizes. Every purchase using this direct payment method offers a chance to win, while also providing a seamless shopping and payment experience.

This collaboration marks a major milestone in the partnership between PalmPay and Jumia. At the media announcement, Mr. Chika Nwosu, Managing Director of PalmPay, emphasized the mission behind this initiative: “We are thrilled to join forces with Jumia to redefine convenience for shoppers. At PalmPay, our mission is to drive economic empowerment through accessible and user-friendly financial services. This partnership is a natural step forward in achieving that goal.”

Looking ahead, Mr. Nwosu hinted at exciting developments for 2025: “This partnership is about creating value for our customers. We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration will unlock, including innovative campaigns that will transform the online shopping landscape.”

Sunil Natraj, CEO of Jumia Nigeria, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the shared vision between the two companies: “At Jumia, we are dedicated to providing a convenient, reliable, and secure shopping experience. This partnership with PalmPay enhances our digital payment options, allowing customers to access quality goods with the ease of cashless transactions.”

To participate in the holiday campaign, shoppers simply need to select the “Pay with PalmPay” option at checkout on Jumia. For an additional chance to win, participants can share a screenshot of their purchase on X (formerly Twitter) using the hashtag #PalmPayXJumia.
