One of the largest independent manufacturers and distributors of soft drinks, and personal home care products in Nigeria, Seven-Up Bottling Company has promoted marketing communications Amazon, Chiamaka Ezuruike to the position of Head, Sponsorship, Brand Engagement and Consumer Experiences.
The promotion comes barely over a year after she was promoted to the position of Senior Events, Experiential & Activations Manager for the Carbonated Soft Drinks, homecare & personal care giants.
Ezuruike boasts a decade’s experience in the marketing communications industry, with core functions in the events and activations segment. She has been leading the Events, Experiential, and Activations Unit of Seven-Up Bottling for over 5 years, and her work has seen her lead highly successful activation elements spanning the company’s beverage brands such as Pepsi, Mirinda, Aquafina, and Supa Komando.
Some of her notable achievements include leading the Pepsi Disembaa On The Go (OTG) campaign and execution and leading all the OTG, experiences, and activations of the 7Up and Aquafina Sponsored Lagos City Marathon for four editions. In addition, she played a significant role in the activation launch of 2Sure Hands and Surface Sanitizer.
Ezuruike commenced her career in 2012 as a Management Trainee at Seven-Up Bottling. In 2014, she was promoted to the position of Marketing Services Officer, a position she held for another two years before she was elevated to the Assistant Manager, Events, and Management position. In 2018, she assumed the role of Events and Activation Manager before her current position as Head of Sponsorship and Consumer Experiences.
Ezuruike possesses a certificate in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics from Ebonyi state University, among other qualifications.
The elevation of Chiamaka Ezuruike to the position of Head of Sponsorship and Consumer Experiences is not unconnected to what has been variously described as her sterling dedication to work and excellence. Her extensive experience in the marketing communications industry, combined with her exceptional leadership skills, is expected to drive the growth and success of Seven-Up Bottling Company among other deliverables expected of her.
