
MarketingWorld’s CMO of the Week: Temitope Osunrinde, Chief Marketing Officer of Tizeti
Temitope Osunrinde has been named CMO of the Week by MarketingWorld Magazine, in recognition of his leadership in shaping Africa’s digital infrastructure narrative.
With over 15 years of experience across broadband, cloud, data centers, and telecoms, Osunrinde stands out as a voice of impact – advancing inclusive connectivity, catalyzing growth, and elevating Africa’s digital transformation on the global stage.
As Chief Marketing Officer of Tizeti, West Africa’s solar-powered internet service provider, Temitope has led the brand’s expansion into underserved communities, leveraging affordable internet access to unlock opportunity, attract investment, and influence pro-growth policy. At Tizeti, he heads Business Development, Partnerships, Sales, and Marketing.
Before this, he played a role in the repositioning of MainOne, which was acquired for $320 million by Equinix, and led the rebrand of Verraki, formerly known as Accenture Nigeria. At every stage, his focus has been on turning infrastructure investment into inclusive digital progress.
Osunrinde’s portfolio reflects deep experience across both operator and advisor roles. He has collaborated on joint advocacy initiatives with global players like Microsoft, Facebook, Google, Orange, and USAID, while also advising enterprises and multinationals on go-to-market strategies and positioning in emerging markets. His work spans the full stack of Africa’s digital economy, combining infrastructure, connectivity, and policy engagement.

In response to Africa’s growing need for digital capacity, Temitope founded Africa Hyperscalers, a platform championing dialogue, investment, and innovation in the region’s compute and cloud future. He has convened top-tier leaders from the government, private sector, and development finance institutions at high-impact events such as Hyperscalers Convergence Africa, MVNO Nigeria, the Africa AI Innovation Roadshow, and the Africa Digital Infrastructure Outlook series.
A Lagos Business School MBA graduate, Temitope has completed executive programs at Yale, EGADE, Stockholm School of Economics, and the National University of Singapore. He has served as a Board member representative on the board of Junior Achievement Nigeria and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
