Kenya: Dairyland launches first Kenyan Dairy-Free Vegan Ice Cream

One of the leading Kenyan dairy processors and the owner of the Dairyland products brands, Glacier Products Limited has announced the launch of the first-ever Kenyan vegan ice cream under the brand name Dairyland Dairy-Free Vegan Ice Cream.

According to the dairy processor, the product is aimed to cater to the growing population of lactose-intolerant consumers and aligns with the global shift towards health, wellness, and environmental awareness.

“Our Vegan Ice Cream is a game-changer for individuals who are lactose intolerant. They can now indulge in their favourite frozen dessert without any limitations,” Milan Kabata, the company’s Head of Marketing said.

During the launching of the product, Glacier highlighted that the product is a Dairy-Free Vegan Ice Cream, soy-based, ice cream that offers a creamy and indulgent treat for everyone.

It added that the introduction of the product was aimed at providing an inclusive dessert option without compromising on taste and quality.

“We have carefully developed flavours such as Vanilla, Strawberry, Hazelnut, Cappuccino, and Brownie, ensuring a rich and satisfying experience for our customers.” The company said

To create awareness and excitement around the launch, Dairyland initiated a campaign named ‘The Dairy-Free Dream’.

This campaign was aimed to position Dairyland Vegan Ice Cream as an inclusive treat that fulfils the desires and dreams of those who have longed to enjoy ice cream despite their lactose intolerance.

“We believe that dreams do come true, and through our new Dairy-Free Vegan Ice Cream, we are making the dream of enjoying ice cream a reality for the lactose-intolerant community,” Kabata added.

Dairyland assured dedication to consistent innovation and providing customers with a wide variety of high-quality products across categories.

With the introduction of Dairyland’s Dairy-Free Vegan Ice Cream, Dairyland is now leading the way in meeting the evolving needs of consumers and contributing to a healthier and more inclusive society.

As the market leader in the Kenyan Ice cream category for over 25 years, Dairyland has built a reputation for delivering high-quality products and consistent innovation.

The launch comes at a time when the demand for plant-based milk is on the rise globally due to growing levels of lactose intolerance and a rise in the vegan population.
