IHS Towers Nigeria Appoints New Associate Director, Corporate Communications

IHS Towers Nigeria has appointed Sylva Ifedigbo as its Associate Director, Corporate Communications.

In his new role, Sylva will be  in charge of directing IHS Nigeria’s internal and external communications functions. In this position, he will lead the team to develop and execute organization-wide communications strategies for increasing the company’s local, national, and international profile.

Sylva has a track record of improving the marketability of the companies he has worked with over the years through sound public relations and marketing communications strategies. He is organized and dedicated. He loves new challenges and is always improving and updating his skills to match or exceed current industry needs.

He is a published author of three books, including the novel, “Believers and Hustlers” which won the 2022 Chinua Achebe Prize. He is also a newspaper columnist and social media enthusiast.

His career goals include bringing his knowledge, talent and goodwill to bear in helping world-class organisations meet their corporate goals by maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship with all their stakeholders through effective and efficient communication.

Prior to his appointment, Sylva returned to serve as the Country Lead, Marketing, Communication & Business Development at PwC Nigeria after serving at BAT as its Internal Communications and Sustainability Manager in West & Central Africa.

Earlier at PwC Nigeria, he served as Manager, Corporate Communications & PR and Senior Associate- Marketing Communications.

He also served at Mobitel Limited as Assistant Manager, Corporate Communications & Group Research and Corporate Communications Officer.
                                                                                                                
He started his career at Technovision Communications Limited and served as Project Communications Co-ordinator before moving to Daily Time as a Sunday Columnist.

Sylva is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), an Associate member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) UK.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and an MBA from the University of Chichester.
