IHS Towers Appoints New Internal Communications Manager

One of the largest independent owners, operators and developers of shared telecommunications infrastructure, IHS Towers has appointed Malobi Adia Akpan-Ita as Manager, Internal Communications.

In her new appointment, she will lead the organization in areas of communications strategy, change management, and corporate events with her analytical skills and creative ideation.

Prior to her appointment, she was Officer, Corporate Communications and Employee Engagement at Stanbic IBTC where she spent over 9 years.

Malobi is a self-driven, result oriented professional focused on optimum performance and value addition with core experience in Brand management, communications, events and sponsorships, CSI and employee engagement, relevant generalist and leadership experience in people and culture.

She also works in the creative industry, with particular focus on providing a platform for exposure and development of upcoming talents in Africa and the diaspora within the music and creative arts space.

Molabi is able to effectively prioritize complex tasks, work unsupervised or within a team, with tight deadlines as well as under pressure.

Her career journey started as Research Assistant at Impact for Change and Development, she then moved to Enterprise Bank Limited as Officer, Customer Service.

Molabi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from University of Ibadan, she also owns a podcast-The tea with Malobi and Tomisin-which is an avenue to drive difficult conversations about relatable issues among young adults.
