One of the leading savings and loans firm in Ghana, ASA Savings and Loans has donated essential medical equipment to Dansoman Polyclinic as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.
This donation is intended to bolster the clinic’s ability to deliver quality healthcare to the community. The contribution includes a range of items such as oxygen cylinders, blood pressure machines, glucometers, and nebulizer machines, among others.
The Odorkor Area Manager of ASA, Madam Mercy M.S. Adzie, stated that the donation was motivated by the clinic’s status as the sole public polyclinic serving the Ablekuma Central Municipality and surrounding areas. She expressed hope that these resources would support the clinic in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4, which focuses on good health and well-being.
Dr. Felicia Anderson, Acting Medical Superintendent of Dansoman Polyclinic, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that it provided much-needed equipment that had been lacking. Principal Health Administrator Hannah Imbiw emphasized the positive impact of the new items, particularly the glucometers and X-ray viewer.
Richard Nartey, CSR and Sustainability Manager at ASA highlighted that this donation aligns with the company’s commitment to supporting healthcare facilities and addressing critical needs. ASA’s focus on Sustainable Development Goals includes improving health, education, and poverty alleviation, with a particular emphasis on empowering women.
