ExxonMobil appoints Udeagha as its Regional Communications Manager

An international oil and gas company, ExxonMobil has appointed Ogechukwu Udeagha as the its Regional Communications Manager in Africa. Mr. Ogechukwu Udeagha, who is also the Manager, Media and Communications at ExxonMobil, announced this via a post on his official LinkedIn account.

He said, “I look forward to collaborating with my immensely talented colleagues, government, allies, media, and all who are passionate about the energy future of our beautiful continent on this journey.”

He further stressed that with his new role, more focus will be on promoting a balanced narrative that encourages the urgent drive for investments in the sector. Before he was appointed ExxonMobil’s Regional Communications Manager, Africa, Udeagha held and is still holding the position of the Manager of Media and Communications. He also served as the Head of Stakeholder Management, First Bank of Nigeria between December 2013 to January 2015 where he worked with both banking and non-banking subsidiaries to develop and manage strategic marketing plans. He also held the position of Head, Brand Management at First Bank of Nigeria from November 2010 to November 2013 and at Dangote industries limited and January 2009 to November 2010.

 As the Regional Communications Manager, Mr. Ogechukwu Udeagha would be expected to oversee the development and implementation of communication strategies, manage media relations, public relations campaigns, internal and external communications, and crisis communication plans. In his role as Manager of Media and Communications, Udeagha is responsible for ExxonMobil’s media and communication efforts.

Udeagha has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Media Studies from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a Master of Science in Media and Communication from the School of Media and Communication, Pan-African University. Ogechukwu Udeagha is a professional in strategic media, communications, and brand management. He has an unbeatable record of leading market teams to deliver strong results for top brands in various sectors.
