Colgate-Palmolive has elevated Ram Raghavan as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), marking a major leadership elevation for the long-serving executive who has spent nearly three decades with the global consumer goods company.
Raghavan, who most recently served as President, Enterprise Oral Care, steps into the role with immediate effect. He announced the appointment on LinkedIn, describing the opportunity as both an honour and a significant milestone in a career that has spanned leadership positions across Asia Pacific, North America, and Latin America.
“I am deeply honoured and thrilled to step into the Chief Marketing Officer role at Colgate-Palmolive,” Raghavan stated, reflecting on a journey that began in 1997 when he joined the company as a Management Trainee.

Over the years, he has held several senior leadership roles across marketing, customer development, innovation, and general management functions. Before his promotion, he led the company’s Enterprise Oral Care division for four years, overseeing the stewardship and growth of Colgate-Palmolive’s global oral care portfolio.
In his new role, Raghavan will oversee the company’s global marketing strategy across a portfolio of leading brands, including Colgate, Palmolive, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, elmex, Suavitel, Fabuloso, and EltaMD.
Expressing enthusiasm about the future, Raghavan said: “I am eager to work with our exceptionally talented teams around the world to further strengthen our brands and transform our marketing function to deliver our Company’s strategic growth objectives.”
His elevation underscores Colgate-Palmolive’s continued focus on experienced internal leadership as it strengthens its global brand portfolio, marketing capabilities, and long-term growth strategy across international markets.
