Nigeria: Joko Oni joins Sterling Alternative Finance as Brand & PR Manager

Joko Oni, Fast-rising award-winning marketing communications professional has joined the services of Sterling Alternative Finance (SAF)- the non-interest banking division of Sterling Bank Plc, as Brand and Public Relations Manager.

Joko, who is a skilled marketing communication professional with a proven track record of executing award-winning campaigns that drive growth and market share for diverse brands in Nigeria is saddled with the responsibility of boosting the brand’s visibility, ensuring a strong brand positioning for Sterling’s non-interest banking, designing efficient internal and external communications plans, and driving thought leadership conversations for the brand to educate Nigerians on the un-tapped benefits of non-interest banking.

Over the years, she has established herself as an articulate and capable professional skilled in Brands, Media, Consumer & Market Research, Product Development, Public Relations and Media Innovation.

Joko started her career in media planning and strategy at OMD Nigeria where she quickly rose through the ranks, managing a cross-functional team to develop creative brand campaigns for award-winning clients like Airtel, Virgin Atlantic and Ecobank before joining OVH Energy Marketing- Oando licensee as a Brand, PR & Digital supervisor.

Joko has an M.sc in media and communications from the Pan Atlantic University and a B.sc in Marketing from Redeemers University Nigeria. She was also one of the winners of the Cannes Young Lion Professional- West Africa in 2017.
