KCB Group’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Rosalind Gichuru, has underscored the importance of translating strategy into tangible consumer value as the bank closed the first half of 2026.
In a recent reflection, Gichuru described H1 as a clear demonstration of how purposeful execution can turn strategic priorities into meaningful experiences for customers. Anchored in KCB’s purpose of “For People. For Better,” she noted that the period was defined by moving plans from the boardroom into action.
The first quarter, she said, was particularly energetic following the bank’s association with the World Rally Championship (WRC).
Building on that momentum, the marketing and communications teams rolled out key campaigns designed to deepen engagement with different customer segments. The #KCBCommonCents initiative focused on connecting with the next generation, while #PataKwako opened up conversations around home ownership and the practical steps towards property acquisition.

“For me, this is where marketing becomes most meaningful—not simply in the campaigns we create, but in how well we understand consumers, respond to their needs, and turn business priorities into experiences that matter,” Gichuru remarked.
As the Group moves firmly into the second half of the year, her focus remains on disciplined execution. She emphasised the need to stay close to consumers, continuously learn from market feedback, and ensure that strategy continues to be converted into actions that deliver real value.
Gichuru also paid tribute to the collaborative effort behind the bank’s marketing successes, acknowledging the Group Marketing & Communications teams, brand partners, and colleagues across KCB for their creativity, energy, and commitment to bringing the brand’s ideas to life.
