Kenya: Tusker hosts fans for Paris Olympics watch parties in Ruiru & Eldoret
Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL), through its flagship brand Tusker, hosted viewing parties for sports fans in Eldoret and Ruiru over the past weekend, marking the final two days of the Paris 2024 Olympics. Thousands of fans gathered at Tamasha in Eldoret and Choma Zone in Ruiru to experience the thrilling conclusion of the games. Alongside live broadcasts of the Olympic events, the gatherings featured a variety of entertainment acts, creating a vibrant atmosphere for attendees.
In Eldoret, fans were treated to live performances by Genge artist Mejja and the legendary Nameless, while DJ Grauchi, DJ Duffy, and DJ Pinto kept the energy high on the turntables. In Ruiru, the crowd was entertained by popular rap group Wakadinali, Arbantone’s Tipsy Gee, and Wadagliz, the creators of the hit song “Anguka Nayo.” The simultaneous events offered a unique blend of sports and entertainment, offering an unforgettable experience.
Earlier in August, KBL reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Kenyan sports by announcing a Ksh. 5 million sponsorship for the Kenya National Paralympic Committee (KNPC). This funding will aid in the team’s preparation and participation in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, scheduled to take place from August 28th to September 8th.
Tusker, as KBL’s flagship brand, will further support the Paralympic team by providing an official travel kit designed and crafted locally. This gesture does not only demonstrates the nation’s support for its athletes but also highlights the talent and craftsmanship of the Kenyan people.
