Oppo, a Chinese electronics brand, says its new 5G router will be released in the second half of 2022, with the goal of bringing flagship-level technology.
It was unveiled alongside its Supervooq fast charging technology at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The new Oppo 5G CPE T2 updates the router’s design and incorporates recycled materials. The Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF system powers the router, which supports Wi-Fi and LAN connections.
The 150W Supervooc flash charge system, which will be available on OnePlus smartphones in Q2, is built using direct charging technology with charge pumps and can charge a 4,500 mAh battery to 50% in five minutes. According to the company, it can also provide a full charge in just 15 minutes.
Oppo’s Battery Health Engine, which debuted on the company’s flagship Find X5 smartphone series, is also used in the Supervooc system. According to Oppo, the technology helps keep the battery performing at 80% of its original capacity after up to 1,600 charge cycles, more than doubling the current industry standard of 800 cycles.
