UK: The PHA Group appoints Helen Salvin as Head of Sustainability to accelerate sector growth

A leading PR, digital, and creative agency, The PHA Group has appointed Helen Salvin as its Head of Sustainability, a newly created position introduced in the company.

PHA has seen significant growth in its sustainability client portfolio and sustainability communications practice, offering expert positioning, counsel and storytelling for organisations while helping them navigate an increasingly complex media, societal and regulatory landscape.

In addition to providing strategic communications, digital, and creative services for sustainability clients, PHA is strengthening its portfolio with a growing range of ESG capabilities, including ESG reporting, training, and report assurance.

On stepping into the role, effective this April, Helen states: “We are entering a new era of environmental governance, where businesses are under heightened scrutiny to demonstrate their commitment to reducing environmental impact. This new wave of accountability presents both challenges and opportunities for organisations, and I am excited to help colleagues and clients navigate this landscape and drive positive change.”

Helen joined The PHA Group five years ago. In her most recent role as Associate Director in the agency’s Corporate division, she honed her specialism working with large-scale corporates, SMEs, decarbonisation leaders, and challenger brands across various sectors including professional services, renewable energy, FMCG, clean transport and agriculture.

Notable clients of the agency have included Octopus Energy, Suntory Food & Beverage GB&I (owners of Lucozade and Ribena), InstaVolt, Emitwise, Simply Sustainable, Open Energy Market, Everflow, Good Business and JA Europe.

Stuart Skinner, Group Managing Director, The PHA Group, comments: “We are thrilled to appoint Helen as our Head of Sustainability. Her extensive experience and dedication to advancing our sustainability offering make her the perfect fit for this crucial role. From attending COP to advising businesses affected by key legislative change, Helen has been navigating the environmental and purpose-led comms landscape alongside our clients for many years, fostering a capable team that delivers strategic and savvy sustainability consultancy.

“The appointment formalises the next step in delivering for clients and futureproofing their communications needs in what is a complex landscape.”
