Sanlam Life Insurance Ghana LTD launches its new product “Family Love Plan” onto the market

A life insurance company, Sanlam Life Insurance Ghana LTD, has launched a new product, which seeks to offer a comprehensive life insurance package to the public.

Known as the Family Love Plan, the product, which comes in three categories, allows subscribers to enjoy benefits such as funeral cover, cash back every three years irrespective of claims, burial repatriation of cover, one-week observance and the first anniversary of death celebration cover.

At the launch of the product in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sanlam Life Insurance Ghana LTD, Tawiah Ben- Ahmed, said the company introduced the product following extensive research in which they received numerous feedbacks from their customers.

The customers, he said, indicated that they wanted something that would provide them maximum life insurance cover while at the same time being affordable.

“This policy does not prevent individuals older than age 60 to be policyholders. If you’re 70 years, you can buy, if you are 80 years you can buy and you can buy this policy at age 85. You do not need to be mandated to be a secondary life,” he said.

He gave an assurance that the company would continue to serve its customers with empathy and churned out insurance products that provided total solutions to their life insurance needs.

“We will continue to strive drive continuous improvement and sustain value for all stakeholders,” he added.

Great product

The Head of Marketing and External Relations of the National Insurance Commission (NIC), Moses Ackah-Jayne, who officially unveiled the product, described the new product as one that would improve insurance penetration in the country.

He said the comprehensive nature of the various categories of products showed that Sanlam Life Insurance had taken into consideration the peculiar insurance needs of people.
