The No.2 worldwide producer of wines and spirits, Pernod Ricard, as part of its efforts to commemorate this year’s “ResponsibAll Day,” has commissioned a mechanized borehole for the people of Dzapkatara at Adeiso in the Eastern Region.
Each year, the day is marked with an overarching theme which sees Pernod Ricard companies collaborate with local partners on a wide variety of community projects.
The theme for this year’s ResponsibALL Day is “The well-being of our people and our community”.
Recently, part of the Pernod Ricard company employees in partnership with Tovila water solution, a leading water treatment company in Ghana passionately took the responsibility to help the people of Dzapkatara in the Eastern Region, providing them with a mechanized borehole that will provide water for the residents.

In addition to commissioning a merchanized borehole for the people of Dzapkatara at Adeiso in the Eastern Region, the Pernod Ricard team also donated items such as clothes, shoes, bags, etc. to the people in the community.
The sustainability and responsibility manager at Pernod Ricard Ghana, Eunice Osei Tutu explained the reason why they decided to choose the Dzapatara community.
“At Pernod Ricard, this project is really important to us, our sustainability and responsibility road map has four pillars, the second one is valuing others and people’s wellness sits under valuing people pillar and as we all know, certain things are really basic when it comes to wellness.
“We don’t sit in Accra and have access to a lot of facilities and sometimes take them for granted, but once we were given the theme, “The wellbeing of our people and our community”, employees agreed that we should focus on the wellbeing of a community and look for one that desperately needed basic wellbeing which is water and so we stated scouting for communities that needed water and it brought us to the village of Dzapatara and we have partnered with Tovila water solution and we are going ahead to give them a water treatment facility.” She continued
