MTN Nigeria has appointed marketing and strategy expert, Emamoke Ogoro to lead as the General Manager, Brand and Communication immediately.
The highly celebrated marketing amazon who can also be credited for delivering some of the most iconic marketing campaigns including “Saka Don Port” and “We Move”, joined MTN as Brand Manager, High-value segment in 2008, and rose through ranks to now sit as General Manager, Brand & Communication.
For over a decade, Emamoke has extensively demonstrated her expertise and proven competence in business strategy, consumer marketing, public relations, budget planning, brand management, communications, people management, and critical thinking.
Prior to her new appointment, she served the telco giant as Senior Manager, Brand Management, a position she held for 6 years between 2016 and 2022 where she was responsible for the formulation of MTN Nigeria’s annual Brand strategy by ascertaining strategic pillars for sustainable brand building and effective communication, and overseeing the development of strategic brand direction for Digital Marketing, Sponsorship, Media, and Go-to-Market strategies for sustainable competitive advantage.
Emamoke is a member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN); Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Delta State University, Nigeria, and an executive MBA from one of the “Top 20 Business Schools in the World”, the Nanyang Business School, Singapore. She’s had several Ivy league business trainings in Columbia, Wharton, Berkely, Cornell, and a Senior Management Program from Lagos business school, focusing on Strategy, Leadership, Finance, Marketing, and Innovation.
