Ghana: FBNBank Ghana inaugurates its Lapaz branch

FBNBank Ghana has officially inaugurated its new branch at Abeka Lapaz, a suburb of Accra, in line with the bank’s agenda to improve its network.

The expansion is in order to cater for the banking needs of individual, commercial and corporate clients within that catchment area and its environs.

The ultra-modern Abeka Lapaz banking office comprises a bulk room, staff only room, washroom, kitchen, relationship manager’s room and many others.

Managing Director (MD) Victor Yaw Asante, speaking at the inauguration ceremony, said the bank is keen to develop customised products and services to suit the needs of its customers and prospective clients, bringing alive the brand promise of putting its stakeholders first.

According to him, the new branch’s purpose is to support the bank’s efforts to offer world-class banking services to its clients while putting them at the heart of its dealings. “To sustain this promise, we need to offer our customers convenience of accessibility in addition to security and a variety of channels, both physical and digital.”

As a customer-centric bank, he said, FBNBank remains committed to expanding its customer touch-points, in both physical and digital ways, while continuing to get closer to them; offering convenience, exciting solutions and security.

“This is our physical touchpoint in Abeka Lapaz, having branches already sited at Santa Maria and Achimota. This new branch will expand our network to customers and residents in other parts of Abeka Lapaz and close-by areas like Tesano, North Kaneshie, Darkuman, Nyamekye and Tabora. Quite a number of the businesses here happen to be small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and we are here to assist them and all other customer segments,” he said.

According to him, aside from its channels and other products, FBNBank’s remittance collections as well as Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS) offering are available to provide solutions for existing and potential customers.

He admitted that the current economic challenges have heightened the role of banks, but said FBNBank is well-placed to make a difference through its offerings and propositions. “2023 remains the right time for delivering our ‘gold’ standard of value and excellence.”

Promo

The bank also used the opportunity to launch its new customer deposit promotion, dubbed the FBNbank Customer Deposit ‘Akye’ promotion. Mr. Allen Quaye, FBNBank’s Head-Retail Banking, while introducing the promo explained that it rewards existing and potential customers with amazing prizes such as household appliances and a 5 percent interest rate on deposits dedicated to the promotion, adding that: “To participate, simply open a savings or current account with a minimum deposit of GH¢500 – and the money will be placed in a special account that earns you a 5 percent interest rate per annum over the promotion period.
