Coca-Cola relaunches ‘Share a Coke’ campaign

Coca-Cola is set to relaunch its globally acclaimed “Share a Coke” campaign in 2025, aiming to resonate with Gen Z’s growing desire for authentic and meaningful connections.

First introduced in Australia in 2011, the campaign gained worldwide popularity by replacing the Coca-Cola logo with popular first names, turning beverage bottles into personalized keepsakes. According to Islam ElDessouky, Global VP, Creative at Coca‑Cola, the campaign’s return is designed to amplify human connection in an era dominated by digital interactions.

“The iconic ‘Share a Coke’ is back and supercharged at a global level, celebrating the pure magic that happens when people connect,” said ElDessouky

A Modernized Experience for a Digital Generation
As the campaign evolves to meet contemporary consumer behavior, Coca-Cola is integrating real-world and digital experiences to encourage reconnection. Beginning in April 2025, the brand will roll out named Coke bottles and cans across more than 120 countries, creating a global movement centered around sharing.

To enhance personalization, Coca-Cola is introducing a digital hub, accessible via the mobile app and QR codes on packaging. Through this platform, users can:
-Customize Coke labels with additional names
-Create shareable content using the Share a Coke Memory Maker, a tool for crafting personalized videos and memes celebrating friendships

-High-impact outdoor advertising
-Exclusive Share a Meal bundles at McDonald’s in select markets

“Get ready for a whole new level of sharing with fresh experiences and ways to spark joy with your crew. We’re bringing new channels and experiences to this campaign to help people uplift friendships through real-life everyday moments,” added ElDessouky.

With a blend of nostalgia and modern digital engagement, Coca-Cola’s 2025 Share a Coke campaign aims to reignite social bonds and strengthen personal connections in a rapidly evolving world.
