Access Bank’s Oluwaseun David-Akindele emerges as MarketingWorld’s CMO of the Week

Seun David-Akindele, the Head of Retail Products & Marketing at Access Bank (Ghana) Plc has been named MarketingWorld’s CMO of the Week.

With a career stretching over 10 years in brand management and communications, Seun David-Akindele, who previously assumed the Head of Corporate Communications & Brand Management at the bank aptly shaped the public image of leading organizations, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.

For the past seven years, Oluwaseun has played pivotal roles in developing award-winning marketing strategies and campaigns for global brands in Ghana and the Central West Africa Region (CWAR). His knowledge in advertising and brand management spans diverse industries including banking, oil & gas, telecommunications, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), beverage, and real estate.

Additionally, David-Akindele has worked for and on multinationals such as Access Bank Ghana Plc, Nescafe CWAR, NIDO CWAR, PZ Cusson Africa, Shell, and Tigo Ghana.

As the Head of Retail Products & Marketing at Access Bank (Ghana) Plc, David-Akindele, oversees brand management, advertising, PR, Sustainability, and media relations, among others. One of his notable campaign is the sustainability campaign called “A Sandal More for a Better Tomorrow”

Before joining the Access Bank Ghana team, David-Akindele worked with Now Available Africa, a neutral Advertising Agency as a key account Manager. He efficiently managed two brands under Nestle CWAR (Nescafe & Nido) on digital media and six brands under PZ Cussons regional (Nigeria, Ghana & Kenya) on both traditional & digital media and Tigo Ghana on digital advertising.

Oluwaseun is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers Ghana (CIBG). He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from GreenHill College, Gimpa, a Diploma in Industrial and Labor Relations from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria, and a Diploma in Microsoft Applications from Business Facilitators Nigerian Ltd.
