CAP crowns winners of Sandtex Paint Your Dream Challenge in Lagos

Chemical and Allied Products Plc (CAP PLC), makers of the Sandtex paint brand, has held the grand finale of the 2026 Sandtex Paint Your Dream Challenge at NECA House, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, celebrating young creativity and youth empowerment.

The competition challenged secondary school students to imagine and illustrate the buildings, homes and communities of the future. More than a painting contest, the initiative aims to encourage young people to dream boldly, think creatively and express their ideas with confidence, while reinforcing Sandtex’s commitment to education and community development.

Sango Senior Secondary School, Agege emerged as Grand Champion and received the top prize of ₦1,000,000. Chrisland School took second place with ₦750,000, while Praise Generation College finished third and was awarded ₦500,000 for outstanding creativity and artistic interpretation of the theme.

Representing the Managing Director of CAP PLC, Company Secretary and General Counsel Olutola Bella described the challenge as an extension of the company’s purpose beyond its products.

“At CAP PLC, we believe the strongest brands create value beyond the products they sell. Through Sandtex, we are investing in creativity, education and the next generation of innovators because brighter communities begin with empowered young minds. The Paint Your Dream Challenge reflects our belief that every dream deserves a canvas,” Bella said.

Ijeoma Barnaby-Nsikak, Regional Sales Manager for Lagos 1, added that the initiative brings the Sandtex brand promise to life by linking purpose with community impact.

“Sandtex has always been a brand that transforms spaces. Through the Paint Your Dream Challenge, we are extending that transformation beyond paint by inspiring young people to dream bigger, express their creativity and believe that their ideas matter,” she noted.

The event brought together students, educators, parents, judges, media representatives and other stakeholders. CAP PLC credited the success of the competition to the support of participating schools, teachers, parents, judges, retail partners, distributors and the wider Sandtex community.
