‎LG launches new NeoChef Microwave with 20 African AutoCook menus

‎LG Electronics has launched an upgraded version of its NeoChef Microwave, featuring 20 African AutoCook Menus designed to make the preparation of authentic local dishes easier, more consistent and more convenient for consumers across the continent.

‎The latest addition to LG’s kitchen appliance portfolio underscores the company’s focus on delivering localized innovations that align with the cooking traditions and everyday lifestyles of African households. Developed through extensive research into regional culinary habits and consumer preferences, the enhanced NeoChef Microwave integrates advanced Smart Inverter technology with intelligent AutoCook programmes specifically optimised for African cuisine.

‎The appliance moves beyond conventional reheating to simplify full meal preparation while helping preserve the authentic taste, texture and quality of traditional dishes. Key features include a spacious 42-litre capacity, 1200W power output, grilling functionality and LG’s Smart Inverter technology, which delivers faster, more even and energy-efficient cooking. Additional practical elements include an EasyClean™ antibacterial interior coating, intuitive touch-and-dial controls, and multiple cooking modes such as grilling, roasting, baking, reheating, defrosting and fermentation.

‎At the core of the new model is an expanded Popular Menu with 28 AutoCook programmes, of which 20 are African-inspired recipes carefully calibrated for local tastes. Users can now prepare popular dishes such as Jollof Rice, Moi Moi, Poundo Yam, Coconut Rice, Fish in Curry Sauce, Asun and Suya Roasted Fish using preset modes that deliver reliable, restaurant-quality results with minimal effort.

‎“African cuisine is celebrated for its rich flavours, diversity and cultural significance,” said Oktae Kim, Product Director, Home Appliances Solutions, LG Electronics West Africa. “With the enhanced NeoChef Microwave, LG combines advanced cooking technology with locally relevant innovation to help consumers prepare their favourite African meals more conveniently while maintaining the authentic taste and quality they expect. This launch reflects our continued commitment to developing products that truly meet the needs of African consumers.”

‎In addition to the African menus, the NeoChef includes Arabic and European cooking programmes, giving users the flexibility to explore a wider range of international cuisines. Functions such as roasting, grilling, warming, proofing, defrosting and specialty cooking further position the appliance as a versatile, all-in-one solution for modern kitchens.

‎The introduction of the African AutoCook Menus highlights LG’s approach to meaningful innovation, pairing cutting-edge technology with solutions tailored to local needs. More than a standard microwave, the enhanced NeoChef is designed to serve as a reliable cooking companion that builds consumer confidence and convenience in everyday meal preparation.

‎The LG AutoCook NeoChef Microwave is now available at LG Brand Shops and authorised retailers across Accra, Kumasi and other locations nationwide.
