Burger King Ghana Opens New Outlet in Dansoman, Partners with Bolt, Glovo to Offer Delivery Services
Burger King Ghana has opened its fourth outlet in Ghana as it expands into the Ghanaian market.
The global fast-food chain opened its doors for a soft launch to customers in Dansoman. The new store adds up to be the company’s fourth outlet in Ghana, having already opened branches at the Accra Mall, Palace Mall, and Shell Airport. Attracted by Ghana’s large and youthful population despite declining income, Burger King announced its entry into Ghana in the first quarter of 2018.
Kwadwo Bonnah, group managing director, Quick Holdings franchise of Burger King said their goal is to positively contribute to the economy by creating more jobs and employment. He also mentioned that Burger King has partnered with ride hailing services such as Bolt, Glovo and more to offer delivery services to residents of Dansoman and its environs.
On the night of its launch, the company recorded over 500 orders with many Ghanaians from far and near on long queues excited to get a bite of its iconic flame-grilled burgers. The restaurant provides sitting for 140 guests and opens everyday between 10 am and 12 am. The restaurant also boasts of a drive through service and free WI-FI service for all guests.
With over 18,000 outlets globally, Burger King is the world’s second-largest fast-food hamburger chain behind McDonald’s, the largest. Burger King outlets are already in nine African countries – Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt, Mauritius, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Kenya, South Africa, and Morocco.
