Airtel Nigeria has unveiled an exciting new partnership with Google, the world’s largest video platform, to enhance its ‘Airtel Smart Router’ offering. This collaboration was announced at a signing ceremony held at Airtel’s Lagos headquarters, which was attended by BrandSpur and IAT news. The partnership aims to provide subscribers across Nigeria with seamless internet connectivity and premium entertainment experiences.
The ‘Airtel Smart Router’ is a revolutionary device that not only serves as an internet router but also transforms analog television sets into smart TVs, allowing users to access YouTube on any TV. This innovative feature is designed to bring top-notch entertainment to more Nigerians, thanks to the Smart Router’s optimized operating system for a flawless YouTube experience, a dedicated YouTube app, and a remote control with a YouTube button.
Chief Commercial Officer of Airtel Nigeria, Femi Oshinlaja, highlighted the significance of this new partnership in transforming digital entertainment in Nigerian households. “At Airtel, our goal to bridge the digital gap includes the provision of affordable entertainment content.
