Achimota Retail Centre Unveils Festive Activities for Christmas Season

Achimota Retail Centre (ARC) has announced an exciting array of festive activities for the Christmas season, with ace actor and comedian Kalybos leading the mall’s management in lighting up the 2024 ARC Christmas Tree last Saturday. This year’s festive package promises to deliver an array of engaging social events and high-quality entertainment tailored for families and community members.

ARC’s Christmas extravaganza includes a variety of open-air jams, Disc Jockey spin sessions, an acapella busking episode, and a special live-band performance to celebrate Ghanaian farmers on Farmer’s Day. The festive activities also feature a Christmas music video and selfie contest, a community dance-off, a children’s ‘Sip-paint-and-play’ encounter, and a Festive Movie Night.

Linda Pappoe, Marketing Manager at ARC, emphasized the mall’s commitment to captivating patrons with quality entertainment and recreational options throughout the festive season. “This festive season, our main objective is to captivate our patrons with heavy doses of quality entertainment and spoil them with irresistible recreational options; this started the moment we lit our Christmas tree. So, the thrill is on and will continue every day, through Christmas into the New Year,” she said.

Highlights of the Christmas package include Open Air Jams at the food court area, a special Farmers Day Live Band session, and a social media contest for the ‘Gen-Zees’ and young adults. From December 9, ARC will host a 20-day long ARC Christmas Music Video and Best Christmas Selfie contest, where followers of the Centre’s social media pages can vote for the best music videos created for various shops and win shopping vouchers by posting exciting selfies with the center’s Christmas decorations.

Additionally, the package includes a Carols Service on Christmas Eve led by the Olive Evangel Choir, and a Boxing Day Family Fun Day dedicated to special entertainment for all family members. The centre’s festive ambiance has been enhanced with dazzling seasonal décor and soothing rhythms from Open Air Jams streaming through the walkways.

Alice Coleman, Centre Manager, expressed enthusiasm for the season, saying, “We are happy to present an entirely different package of entertainment and recreation which will make your time at the centre this season exceptional and memorable; in addition to all the fanfare and excitement, I’m happy to announce that following a successful Black Friday sale, our stores have restocked with new varieties to meet the demands of the season and to enrich your shopping experience at the centre.”

Located at Dome, near the St John’s Grammar School on the Accra-Nsawam Highway, Achimota Retail Centre is one of the most popular open malls in Accra. It houses a wide range of Ghanaian and international brands offering products in various categories, including fashion, electronics, grocery, and eateries. Over the past nine years, ARC has provided modern, convenient, one-stop shopping for communities in the south-eastern sector of Accra.
