Toyota Ghana Unveils VOTE DRIVE SAVE-A-LIFE CAMPAIGN

In a statement by the company, it announced that from Saturday 5th December, 2020 to Thursday 7th January, 2021, you stand a chance of winning a brand new Toyota Starlet and save the life of an infant if you participate in the VOTE DRIVE SAVE-A-LIFE campaign.

Toyota Ghana Ltd. in collaboration with the Kokrokoo Charities Foundation has launched the VOTE DRIVE SAVE-A-LIFE CAMPAIGN to raise funds for Project 100 and promote awareness on safeguarding the peace of the country before, during and after the 2020 elections.

In addition, Toyota Ghana would give away a brand new Toyota Starlet to the ultimate winner among participants of the campaign.

Participants are expected to dial *713*70#, follow the prompts and donate any amount of choice to Project 100.

While making multiple donations increases one’s chances of winning the Toyota Starlet, it essentially contributes towards raising funds for the purchase of incubators to save the lives of infants.

Toyota Ghana Limited is therefore encouraging Ghanaians to go out and vote peacefully on 7th December.

While you await your turn in the queue, grab your phone and make a donation of any amount.  You can do this as many times as you can and stand a chance of winning the ultimate prize.  One person will be randomly selected and presented with the Toyota Starlet on January 07, 2020.

According to UNICEF, about 140,000 babies are born premature in Ghana every year. Of this number, 8,000 babies die before they are a month old.  One of the measures that can help curb this, is the availability of incubators.

Project 100, founded by Broadcast Journalist, Kwami Sefa Kayi, himself a pre-term baby was therefore set up in 2014 to among others help reduce infant mortality in Ghana through the purchase and installation of 100 incubators at a cost of $10,000 each.

Project 100 Foundation has so far purchased and installed 35 incubators in 22 regional and district hospitals nationwide as well as supported other neo-natal needs in selected hospitals.

Beneficiary hospitals include but not limited to, Bongo District Hospital, Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Tamale Teaching Hospital, Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and Ho Regional Hospital. Others are the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Agomenya Catholic Hospital, Tema General Hospital and Sunyani Regional Hospital.

The VOTE DRIVE SAVE-A-LIFE CAMPAIGN will help Project 100 achieve its goal of providing 65 more incubators for hospitals across the country.
