Coca-Cola Kwanza launches new FANTA Berry flavour in Tanzania

Coca-Cola Kwanza has launched FANTA® Berry in Tanzania, expanding the beverage brand’s portfolio with a new fruit-flavoured offering aimed at delivering a bolder and more refreshing experience to consumers.

The new FANTA® Berry flavour combines a fruity taste with a campaign strategy inspired by Tanzania’s youth culture and the growing popularity of Singeli music. The product is now available at selected retail outlets, supermarkets, universities, kiosks and other trade outlets across the country.

Kabula Nshimo, Senior Marketing Manager for Coca-Cola Tanzania, said the new product reflects the company’s efforts to respond to changing consumer preferences.

“We’re thrilled to bring even more variety to Tanzanians with this vibrant addition to the FANTA® family. FANTA® Berry embodies our commitment to creating fun, fruity twists filled with deliciousness that cater to people’s evolving tastes,” Nshimo said.

The launch is being supported by the brand’s “Kipapli” platform, which seeks to connect with young consumers through music, dance, fashion, creator culture and experiential activations.

As part of the rollout, Coca-Cola Kwanza has commenced a consumer engagement convoy from its Mikocheni plant, with stops at Ubungo, Mabibo, Buguruni and Temeke before concluding in Mbagala. Consumers at the various locations are expected to participate in FANTA® Berry tasting sessions, interactive entertainment and other experiential activities.

The campaign will also feature creator challenges designed to encourage young people to produce digital content, expand their influence and participate in the growing creator economy.

Other planned activities include university engagements, trade-market “Berrification” experiences, influencer collaborations and the #KipapliChallenge across social media platforms.

David Chait, General Manager at Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd, said the launch forms part of the company’s broader effort to provide products that reflect the tastes and preferences of Tanzanian consumers.

“Our diverse beverage portfolio reflects our dedication to meeting the preferences of Tanzanians. We’re proud to offer products that bring people together, spark joy, and add flavour and deliciousness to everyday moments,” Chait said.

With the addition of FANTA® Berry alongside established offerings such as FANTA® Orange, Coca-Cola Kwanza is positioning the latest flavour as part of its continued efforts to engage consumers through new products, entertainment and youth-focused experiences across Tanzania.
