Emeka Obia wins Africa’s Young Adman of the Year at Industry Awards 2025

Emeka Obia has been named Africa’s Young Adman of the Year at the prestigious Industry Awards 2025, hosted by The Industry newspaper. The highly anticipated ceremony took place at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, gathering top advertising and marketing professionals from across the continent.

Obia, a rising force in Africa’s advertising landscape, was appointed Integrated Strategy Director for Central and West Africa at Publicis Groupe in 2023. Since assuming the role at the French multinational advertising and public relations firm, he has led strategic initiatives across 22 diverse markets, delivering integrated growth for major brands.

“I’m deeply honoured by this recognition,” Emeka said. “This award reaffirms the power of African ideas and strategy to influence global narratives. I dedicate it to every young creative and strategist who dares to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible.”

With this latest accolade, Emeka not only cements his status as one of Africa’s most dynamic advertising leaders but also embodies a new generation of strategists—globally minded, locally rooted, and relentlessly forward-thinking.
