Inchcape Kenya has unveiled the 2024 BMW F 800 GS, F 900 GS, and F 900 GSA adventure motorcycles during the Bikers Family Festival, an annual event hosted by the Private Bikers Association. The launch, which took place in Nairobi, showcased BMW’s latest additions to their adventure lineup, designed to offer superior on-road and off-road experiences.
The new models are equipped with an 895cc parallel-twin engine, with the F 800 GS producing 87 hp and 67 lb-ft of torque, making it ideal for both trail and highway journeys. The F 900 GS, a step up in performance, delivers 105 hp and 68.6 lb-ft of torque. Significant weight reductions, including a lighter swingarm, plastic fuel tank, and Akrapovič exhaust, enhance the bike’s agility and handling.
For riders seeking extended touring capabilities, the F 900 GSA offers enhanced comfort and storage with a larger fuel tank and BMW’s dynamic electronic suspension adjustment, ensuring optimal performance in any condition. This model is designed for long-range adventures, allowing riders to explore deeper into challenging terrains.
An optional Enduro Pro package is available for the F 900 models, which includes features such as extended suspension, an aluminum bash plate, and adjustable foot pegs. The Enduro and Enduro Pro riding modes are specifically tailored to optimize power delivery and ABS for loose surfaces, making the motorcycles highly versatile for serious off-road riding.
Speaking during the launch event at the Bikers Family Festival in Nairobi, Inchcape Kenya Marketing and Customer Experience Manager Anne Wanyeki said, “The BMW GS models have been pioneers of adventure motorcycling for over 40 years, leading riders to discover the farthest corners of the world.
