Nigeria: Guinness Nigeria Appoints Eniola Alli Faweya as Head of Corporate Communications

A subsidiary of the global beverage giant Diageo, Guinness Nigeria PLC has appointed Eniola Alli Faweya as its new Head of Corporate Communications, effective February 12th, 2024.

In her new position, Eniola is expected to play a vital role in shaping Guinness Nigeria’s external and internal communication efforts, aligning them with the company’s broader business objectives and global narratives. Her expertise in sustainability and government affairs is expected to provide valuable insights and guidance as the company navigates the evolving regulatory landscape and societal expectations.

In a statement released on its LinkedIn handle, Guinness Nigeria expressed excitement about the new addition to its leadership team. “We’re thrilled to announce that Eniola Alli Faweya has joined us as the Head of Corporate Communications at Guinness Nigeria PLC, starting February 12th, 2024,” the company stated.

Eniola brings with her a wealth of experience spanning over 14 years in the realms of corporate communications, public relations, sustainability, and government affairs. Her proven track record of implementing effective communication strategies and managing stakeholder relationships positions her as an ideal candidate to drive impactful initiatives in her new role.

Prior to joining Guinness Nigeria, Eniola led the Corporate Communications team at International Breweries, a multinational beverage company and subsidiary of Ab InBev, where she was responsible for driving project-based communications aligned with business objectives and global narratives. Her expertise includes providing technical leadership in the development of corporate communications policies and processes, developing strategies to drive business value through employee engagement and media, and handling crisis and issues management communications with agility.

Eniola’s diverse professional background also includes leadership positions in reputable organizations within the financial sector, where she successfully drove conflict resolution, brand management, and quality assurance initiatives.

Academically, Eniola holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a specialized MBA in Green Energy and Sustainable Businesses from the prestigious Covenant University, Ota, and the University of Bologna, Italy, respectively.

In its announcement, Guinness Nigeria extended a warm welcome to Eniola, expressing excitement about her contributions and wishing her great success in her new position.
