Nigeria: Nigerian Bottling Company Plc (NBC) Appoints Samuel Iboroma As Senior Manager, External Relations

Nigerian Bottling Company Plc, a beverage firm and franchise bottler of Coca-Cola in Nigeria has appointed public relations and communications professional, Samuel Iboroma as its Senior Manager, External Relations.

With over 16 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Samuel has a proven track record of driving success in some of the world’s most dynamic industries, including logistics, marine, FMCG, and oil & gas. His experience spans working with publicly quoted companies, as well as setting up and developing communications teams from the ground up, allowing him to bring extensive expertise to any organization.

While announcing the new position on his LinkedIn page, Samuel wrote “I’m happy to share that I am starting a new position as Senior Manager, External Relations at Nigerian Bottling Company Plc”

Before joining the company, he was the Head of Communications (Group) at Famfa Oil Nigeria, where he led the development and execution of a comprehensive corporate communications and brand management strategy for the Famfa Group and its affiliated entities, such as Digitalreality (a printing press) and Dayspring Properties (a luxury property development company).

He also served as the Corporate Communications Manager of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc and was responsible for the development, positive positioning, and continuous management of all the external communication needs of the FMN Group. He was also overseeing strategy formulation and execution for all public relations and media activities for all subsidiaries and divisions in the FMN Group which cuts across, Foods, Agro-allied, and Support services, including product packaging and distribution.

Prior to that, he was the Team Lead, Corporate Communications at C&I Leasing Plc where he developed and implemented an innovative internal communications strategy to improve employee engagement through strategic messaging. This was achieved using a carefully planned storytelling technique that included video animations among others.

He holds a Master’s degree in Media and Communications from the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Administration and Management from the Ahmadu Bello University, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Samuel is a top-performing and articulate communications professional experienced in internal communications, employee engagement, brand management, special events planning, and social media marketing.

He specializes in crafting and executing effective communication strategies that deliver measurable results. Whether it’s engaging with internal stakeholders or communicating with external audiences, he has the skills to deliver messaging that resonates and inspires action. Crisis management, media relations, and reputation management are areas of strength, having successfully navigated high-profile situations.
