Tropical General Investment Group Appoints Olumide Aruleba as New Marketing Manager

Tropical General Investment Group, a prominent international investment and holding company with operations spanning across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, has appointed Olumide Aruleba as their new Marketing Manager. This strategic move aims to bolster the company’s marketing efforts and drive further growth in the competitive marketplace.

Aruleba brings with him a wealth of experience in the field of marketing, with a remarkable career spanning over 13 years in various roles encompassing marketing, sales, and commercial expertise. As a certified advertising practitioner, he has consistently demonstrated his proficiency in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies.

Prior to joining Tropical General Investment Group, Aruleba held the position of Head of Marketing at Rites Food Limited. In this role, he was instrumental in achieving the company’s key performance indicators, including market share, profit, value, and volume. Through his strategic prowess and in-depth understanding of consumer insights, Aruleba spearheaded initiatives that propelled category and company growth. Furthermore, he led the preparation of annual integrated marketing plans, playing a pivotal role in accomplishing the company’s business targets.

Aruleba kick-started his career as the Business Development Manager at Basic Technology Service before assuming the role of Business Development Officer/IT Manager at Candid Oil Services Limited. He has also contributed his expertise to renowned organizations such as Procter and Gamble, where he served in multiple capacities including Associate Brand Manager, Category Manager (Always & Vicks), Category Manager (Babycare), and Brand Manager (Babycare). Additionally, he has gained valuable experience from his tenure at Cadbury Nigeria Plc. and Promasidor.

Throughout his career, Aruleba has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, effectively resolving complex business challenges and revitalizing declining ventures. Notably, he has successfully overseen the launch of new brands and orchestrated groundbreaking digital campaigns, positioning himself as a dynamic marketing professional capable of driving holistic marketing and trade plans to expand market share for top multinational FMCG companies.

Aruleba’s skill set extends beyond marketing expertise. He possesses a strong background in Market Research, Business Planning, Microsoft PowerPoint, Web Development, and Customer Service. These additional proficiencies equip him with a well-rounded skill set to tackle multifaceted challenges and deliver comprehensive solutions.

Aruleba graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
