Rotimi Ogunwede Joins Earzz Limited as Head of Marketing

A seasoned marketing professional with over a decade of experience in marketing communications, Rotimi Ogunwede has joined Earzz, a company at the forefront of sound recognition technology as its Head of Marketing.

As the Head of Marketing at Earzz, Ogunwede will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that elevate the brand, drive customer engagement, and accelerate business growth.

A post on his LinkedIn page while announcing the new role read in part, “Since my last announcement, a few people have asked me, “What Next”. I am a passionate marketing leader with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation in the technology industry. I am honoured and excited to serve as the Head of Marketing at EARZZ, a groundbreaking company at the forefront of sound recognition technology.”

Prior to joining Earzz, Ogunwede was the Chief Marketing Officer/ Global Head of Strategy and Expansion at Patricia Technologies, where he led and drove strategic and innovative marketing and sales activities through partnerships and initiatives.

Before joining Patricia Technologies, he was the Marketing Manager at MAX.NG; a ride-hailing transport service providing solutions across Africa. He was also the Media Manager at Cheil Communications, a subsidiary of the Samsung Electronics group, where he was responsible for all media and marketing activities of the Samsung brand with budgets over$10mn annually.

Ogunwere has experience across different brands like Diageo, Guinness, Promasidor, Standard Chartered bank, UAC, Suntory, Toti Prima Lotto, Stanbic IBTC and other notable brands.

He is an award-winning professional who won the Cannes Young Lions Competition – Media Category in 2014 and represented Nigeria in Cannes, France, on the global stage. He was a winner of the prestigious OMD 30-Day Challenge.

He has a degree in Computer Science from Olabisi Onabanjo University, a Certificate in Digital Marketing from the University of Illinois, an Award in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM, UK) and Executive Education from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
