Ghana: Star Assurance Company Ltd partners with Zoomlion and others to organize clean-up exercise at Koforidua, climaxes 38th anniversary

One of Ghana’s leading insurance providers, Star Assurance Company Ltd., has partnered Zoomlion, Ghana Private Road and Transport Union (GPRTU), and the New Juaben Traditional Council to organise a clean-up exercise at the main lorry terminals at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

The clean-up exercise was part of the activities to climax the 38th anniversary of Star Assurance Company Ltd. Prior to this exercise, the company held a thanksgiving service and a health walk to mark the anniversary.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the clean-up exercise, Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of Star Assurance, Justice Frank Offei, said the clean-up exercise reflects the company’s vision of being a solid partner to the needs of its partners.

The Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area, Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III, who participated fully in the clean-up exercise, commended Star Assurance for the intervention. He then urged his subjects to make cleaning an integral part of their daily lives so Koforidua will become clean at all times.

He further encouraged other chiefs and people to also indulge in such exercises to keep the environment clean, adding that it is the duty of all citizens to make sure the towns and cities are clean and stop waiting on government to always take these initiatives.

Drivers at the lorry terminals were educated on road safety and insurance tips as well as various motor insurance packages by Star Assurance.

Donation to support Omanhene

Management of Star Assurance Company Ltd. then presented an amount of GH₵10,000 to support the development agenda of the Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area, Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III.

Star Assurance also donated some handwashing facilities to the GPRTU and the palace of the Omanhene.
