Nigeria: Coronation Insurance Appoints Aishat Anaekwe as Group Head, Brand and Communication

A leading Nigerian insurance group, Coronation Insurance has appointed marketing practitioner, Aishat Anaekwe as the company’s Group Head, Brand and Communication.

In her new role, Aishat will be leading brand, marketing, and communications for the company’s affiliates across Africa in Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, Securities, Venture Capital and more.

“Big announcement: I’m moving on from my role at The HEINEKEN Company and will be stepping into a new adventure as the Group Head of Brand and Communication at Coronation. I will be leading brand, marketing, and communications for the company’s affiliates across Africa in Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, Securities, Venture Capital and more.

“During my incredible ride at The HEINEKEN Company, I had the pleasure of working on some amazing projects and initiatives that I’m proud to have been a part of. I’ll always cherish the memories and experiences shared with my colleagues and mentors at the company.

“I’m looking forward to bringing my skills and expertise to Coronation Group and contributing to the company’s mission of creating a prosperous future for its clients and the African continent. Wish me luck.

“PS: This industry switch to Financial Services might come as a surprise to many that have always known me to be the FMCG/CPG marketeer, but quick reminder. I have a bachelor’s in Economics and a Masters in Finance. I’m excited to start my new job,”she wrote while making the announcement on her LinkedIn page.

Other places she had worked asides from The HEINEKEN Company include Johnson & Johnson as the Head of Brand Activation, West Africa, PZ Cussons as the Category and Channel Marketing Manager (Fabric Care – Laundry and Detergent), and Schlumberger as the Financial Analyst Assistant/Receivables Accountant.

Aishat is a graduate of Covenant University, Ota. She bagged an M. Sc in Finance from the University of Lagos.

She is skilled in Brand Vision & Positioning, Portfolio Management, Global Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, Branded Integration & Content, amongst others.
